Individual Therapy
For understanding yourself & creating meaningful change
I provide individual counselling for adults who manage well externally while internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure of themselves.
Life has often involved looking after others, keeping things going and being capable, while struggling with self-criticism, people-pleasing, relationships, boundaries, anxiety or a feeling that something isn't quite right.
There’s often an awareness of where some patterns or reactions come from, yet still find yourself responding in the same familiar ways.
My work is for people who want to understand themselves more deeply, rather than simply talk about what’s happening on the surface. We explore the patterns that keep showing up, what’s behind them and how they affect the way you relate to yourself and others.
A place to be yourself
I want therapy to feel like a place where you don't have to edit yourself. You can talk about things that feel difficult, confusing or hard to put into words without worrying about being judged.
I listen carefully and take your experience seriously. You don't need to convince me that something matters or minimise what you're going through.
My approach is warm, grounded and compassionate, while remaining professional and purposeful. There is room for honesty, reflection and humour when it feels right.
Sessions aren't about me telling you what you should think, feel or do. I offer guidance and perspective while helping you make sense of your own experience and discover what feels right for you.
How I work
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is the primary approach I use in individual therapy. It provides a way of exploring your inner world and familiar patterns with curiosity rather than self-judgement.
I also draw on other evidence-based approaches when useful, including EMDR, ACT, mindfulness and somatic awareness.
The work isn't about forcing you to uncover everything at once. We can slow things down when needed and pay attention to what feels manageable.
Face-to-face and online therapy
I offer face-to-face counselling in the Fremantle area of Western Australia, as well as online sessions via Zoom for adults across Australia.
Whether we meet in person or online, I aim to provide a warm, relaxed and supportive experience, somewhere you can feel heard, understood and comfortable being yourself.
Therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, feel more at ease in your life and make changes that feel meaningful and true to who you are.
You don't need to have everything worked out before you begin. Curiosity is enough to start.
